Cantoria Valley Viewpoint
The Cantoria Valley viewpoint is one of the most popular places to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and observe its geography.
It is a metal structure placed on a stone base located on the A-110 road leading to the town of Cantoria. To reach this spot, visitors need to climb a staircase of 41 steps. This viewpoint provides panoramic views of the town of Cantoria, as well as of the middle course of the River Almanzora, highlighting how its slow and progressive flow has shaped the valley over time.
From here there are also breathtaking views of the Filabres mountain range and the streams that meander through it. From this point it is possible to observe the characteristic flora of the mountain range, consisting mainly of scrubland, such as genista and esparto grass, as well as some aromatic plants such as pennyroyal, thyme and lavender.
