Virgen de los Dolores hermitage
The Virgen de los Dolores hermitage-shrine is on the outskirts of the Teruel municipality of Ojos Negros, on the edge of one of the access roads into the village.
Located at the end of a calvary, it is a small temple, possibly built in the 19th century, and made with whitewashed masonry.
It consists of a single quadrangular nave, with a traditional local portico, resembling a small atrium, in which there is an opening with a semicircular arch resting on pilasters. The temple is covered by a hipped roof with moulding, leaving a triangular pediment with a brick cornice in the chancel.
A couple fo steps welcome the devout at the entrance to the temple, whose interior contains the image of the Virgen de la Piedad.
The path to this hermitage is marked by a series of pedestals, which have a polygonal body crowned by a cross, which runs from the municipality of Ojos Negros. Some of them have a quadrangular niche bearing various images and religious scenes.
