Aceite Greenway Nature Trail

A former railway line that connected Linares (Jaén) with Puente Genil (Córdoba), a route that runs among olive goves between the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba unveiling the landscape of the andalusian countryside as it passes through.
This railway line, popularly known as the "Olive Oil Train", allowed to trade the typical products of the region, particularly olive oil, which was loaded onto tank cars headed to the Málaga port. As of today, the old railway traffic has been substituted by cyclists and hikers, who have the opportunity to enjoy this nature trail along has the aroma of freshly pressed olives.
The Aceite Greenway Nature Trail currently has an approximate lenght of 127 kilometers, from the city of Jaén to the Campo Real station in Puente Genil, divided into nine stages. At approximately kilometer 65 of the route, a branch of the Nature Trail starts in the direction of Baena.
