Barrio de San Pedro
Barrio de San Pedro is located in the region of Montaña Palentina, in the northeast of the province of Palencia, and belongs to the municipality of Aguilar de Campoo.
It was the site of the extinct Romanesque chapel of St. James, built by Doña Sancha Alfonso as a dependency of the abbey of St. Euphemia of Cozuelos. In the past, some mural paintings were kept there that told the story of the aforementioned donation. The remains that are still standing can be found in the St. Andrew's parish church built in the 13th century and modified during the 15th and 18th centuries, including two 15th century tombs in arches.
