La Puebla de Valverde station
La Puebla de Valverde station is located in the Teruel municipality of La Puebla de Valverde between the stations of Puerto de Escandón and Sarrión.
The station was inaugurated on 3 November 1900 to link the line from Calatayud to Valencia, and was managed at that time by the Compañía del Ferrocarril Central de Aragón, so it was this company that carried out the construction works. Subsequently, the railway lines were nationalised, and their management became the responsibility of the company RENFE, only to become the responsibility of Adif years later.
The station is now closed, despite the fact that the railway service linking Zaragoza and Sagunto passing through Teruel is still in operation and passes through. In the vicinity of this now unused infrastructure, there are a couple of modern platforms that make it possible for the train, which is still in operation, to pass through this area. Sadly, the building that was once the La Puebla de Valverde passenger terminal is now closed with the windows boarded up.
