Santa águeda hermitage
The Santo Cristo and Santa Águeda hermitage is a small, very simple church with a single nave and a rectangular floor plan.
This robust-looking building was constructed using masonry, as well as ashlars for the corner part. It has a hipped roof and, from the outside, it is accessed through a doorway with a semicircular arch, which is made of ashlar too, and which is reached after climbing a small flight of steps.
The interior is notable for its lunette vault.
The festivities in honour of Santa Águeda are held in March and the women are the main participants, as they honour this saint who was ordered tortured by the senator Quintianus who, unable to have her, ordered that her breasts be chopped off and that she be thrown over red-hot coals.
