Palancia river viaduct
This railway viaduct is a key piece of infrastructure on the railway line connecting the Ojos Negros mine and the port of Sagunto. The Compañía Minera de Sierra Menera built it to take its raw materials to the port for subsequent distribution.
This viaduct is approximately 75 m long, consists of four arches and has a structure very similar to that of the other viaducts along the route of this disused railway line, as it is built from blocks of stone and ashlar, perfectly integrated into the landscape, and has a metal railing attached to both sides. The bridge allowed the line to cross that natural obstacle posed by the River Palancia.
Today, this structure is part of the greenway route included within the national network of Nature Trails.
