Shrine of San Cristóbal
This temple is located in a slightly elevated area halfway between the towns of Torrelara and Quintanalara, in the heart of the province of Burgos. It is thought that in the past it may have been a place of worship belonging to one of the now-uninhabited villages in the surrounding area. This small temple, believed to have been built during the 17th century and lacking a clearly defined style, consists of a nave built with masonry and ashlar walls. The shrine was renovated in the year 2000, as can be seen on an inscription on the front of the building. The San Cristóbal pilgrimage is held every 10 July, and every summer the locals of Torrelara gather around this temple.
