Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Pedrajas
This is a shrine located on the outskirts of the Burgos municipality of Poza de la Sal. The first written reference to this shrine dates back to 14 May 1011, in a diploma issued by the neighbouring Monastery of Oña. The building of the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Pedrajas has a single nave with an octopartite ribbed roof with three bays and straight secondary ribs, as well as a half-orange dome on pendentives in the apse. It also has a sacristy and a chapel above it, both attached to the chancel of the shrine.
The current appearance of the church is the result of several alterations carried out between the 16th and 18th centuries, when the hospice was built, the nave was extended up to the belfry and the current tower was erected.
The hospice building is currently a municipal hostel - in the past it housed a school - which is distributed over two floors with several rooms: one for 44 people, one for 24 people and two single rooms for two and three people. It also has meeting rooms, a kitchen and an indoor garden.
