Tunnel
This tunnel is around 240 m long and for years it was essential for carrying raw materials on the railway linking the Ojos Negros mine with the port of Sagunto for the distribution of raw materials. The entrance is embedded in a ravine excavated in the elevation and its architecture is quite similar to that of other tunnels located along the old railway route. It was built in stone with materials that blend in quite well with the chromatic range of the surroundings.
Today, this old railway tunnel is part of the route included within the national network of Nature Trails. It means that this pass, located between the ravines of Castellón, is perfectly conditioned for walkers and cyclists. Also, although it is equipped with lighting witing, walkers are recommended to carry a torch, nonetheless.
