Poplar production
Production poplar groves are tree formations of the genus Populus comprising highly productive clones. These trees have high growth rates and a relatively short felling period, with the entire poplar plantation area being felled and then replanted with new seedlings. These clones are established in the National Catalogue of clones accepted as basic material (Order APA/544/2003 and Order of 24 June 1992), the most widespread being Populus x euramericana I-214.
