Cubo de Hogueras
Cubo de Hogueras is a hamlet of Alconada within the comarca of Soria. It was formerly a small hamlet known as Cubo de Malas Hogueras, which in the Middle Ages became part of the Sexmo de Lubia within the Community of the Villa and Land of Soria.
Today there are only a few inhabitants left here, whose houses are scattered on a plain through which the Arroyo del Hoyo stream flows and where there is also a small hunting reserve where quail and hare abound.
Although it has very few inhabitants, it still conserves its Parish Church of La Presentación, which belongs to the Diocese of Osma. A simple construction, built with rustic materials, it has a drum-shaped apse with two opening and plain corbels. The entrance is located on the side façade, highlighting the semicircular arch and bell tower. Some artefacts of terra sigillata and common pottery are displayed inside.
Local festivities are celebrated on 20 and 29 May.
