Wind turbines
A wind farm known as Campanario is located between the municipalities of Revillarruz and Carcedo, in the heart of the province of Burgos. It consists of 19 wind turbines, with a rotor diameter of 90 metres on an 80 metre-high, with a total capacity of 38 MW. This technology harnesses the climate conditions of the region and the gusts of air that sweep through this part of Burgos. The operation of these wind turbines is simple: the force of the wind moves the blades and drives a generator that uses magnetic fields to transform this rotational energy into electricity.
Not only is this wind farm a source of clean and renewable energy production, but also the "Campanario" has become one of the most iconic images of this region of Burgos.
