Modúbar de la Emparedada tunnel
This is a 590-metre-long tunnel known in its railway past as the Los Barrancos tunnel, or tunnel number 5 on the railway line. With no artificial lighting and a practically straight layout, there is light at the end of the tunnel visible from the entrance. Nonetheless, it is recommended to carry a torch, especially if travelling with children.
The railway name comes from the name of the place area (Los Barrancos), where the Altotero de Modúbar overlooks the rest of the small hills from a height of 1,015 m. Its location is notable for its proximity to the towns of Cardeñadijo and Modúbar de la Emparedada.
