La Merindad de Castilla la Vieja was divided into three districts, one of which was the district of Horna, to which the farms of Andino and Andinillo belonged, and which was under the jurisdiction of the House of Rueda.
Despite its proximity to Villarcayo, only 5 km away, this village is practically abandoned. It only conserves a transitional Romanesque church, which is currently in ruins, and the tower-palace of the Rueda family, a construction dating from the 15th century.
The church is dedicated to Vincent Martyr and, according to what has been discovered, it may have belonged to an ancient monastery. Despite its poor condition, it is still possible to make out a series of simple canons in the eaves and the belfry, which is topped with a cross and in which two bells were kept. The façade was also very simple and features a semicircular arch with two capitals and shafts. Various ornaments have been preserved from the dilapidated interior, indicating that it was built in a fairly advanced Gothic style.
