Corias
Corias, traditionally known as Courias, is a village located just over 2 km from Belmonte de Miranda. Belonging to the Camí Real de la Mesa region, the village sits at an altitude of 200 m and has 16 houses.
As one of the 21 population centres within the parish of Belmonte de Miranda, which is the largest in the council, Corias is positioned as a crossing land for the Pigüeña River. The surrounding landscape features large pastures, as well as mountains and valleys characteristic of this Asturian region.
Throughout history, Corias has been inhabited by different cultures, including the Romans, Asturians, and Vaqueiros, each leaving traces of their presence. The village boasts interesting examples of traditional Asturian architecture.
