Chapel of Santa Águeda
The chapel of Santa Águeda is situated on a small hill on the outskirts of Bayubas de Abajo.
The building is an old Roman factory, but it has undergone so many alterations that there is no longer any trace of its past. The Bayubas River, which flows at the rear of the village, approximately 200 metres away, runs along the western edge of the village and continues its course until it joins the Duero. Furthermore, this enclave, along with the rest of the town, is encircled by an extensive pine forest.
The people of Bayubas embark on a procession to this chapel during the village festivities in February and August.
