Remonicio River
The Remonicio stream, also known as the watercourse in question, is located between the Soria towns of Vinuesa and Molinos de Duero.
This river, which originates at an altitude of 1,084 metres, is a tributary of the Duero and the Revinuesa. The course of the river is irregular, with the flow dependent on the season and rainfall.
The location of the site, situated at the heart of the Iberian System, has resulted in the surrounding materials being predominantly conglomerates and sandstones. These are surrounded by abundant vegetation, with black pine and sessile pine being the most prevalent species, with some beech and oak trees also present. As the riverbank is approached, the species present change to include elm, poplar and white poplar.
The area boasts a diverse and abundant fauna, with a significant presence of species native to the region, including wild boar, foxes, and roe deer.
