Macarella Bay Necropolis
In Macarella Bay, a fairly touristy and popular bay on the south of the island, there is a group of artificial caves that were used as a necropolis during the Talayotic period.
This type of funerary practice was widespread in Menorca during prehistoric times, as can be seen in other necropolises such as Morell Bay and Calescoves Bay.
There is also a set of natural sea caves located under the cliffs in the area. This can be visited either directly by swimming or by kayak.
