Juniper grove
Wooded formation composed of small trees or shrubs of common juniper (Juniperus communis) and prickly juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus).
The two species of the same genus share the same location at this site, intermingling with vegetation. Both species have different morphological similarities, such as their acicular leaves arranged in threes. In the case of the common juniper leaf, it has a white band on the upper side of the leaf, which differs from the prickly juniper which has two soft white spots. Another difference to distinguish between the two species is the colour of their fruits: the common juniper's are black and the prickly juniper’s reddish.
