Amayuelas de Ojeda
Amayuelas de Ojeda is located in the fertile lowlands of the Burejo River. It pertains to the municipality of Olmos de Ojeda and the Perales stream runs through it.
According to ancient documents, the village was settled by people who came from Peña Amaya. This was a well-known summit belonging to the province of Burgos.
Strolling through its streets its architectural treasures can be admired such as the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, which, although it was originally Romanesque in style, time and various reforms made to the church have changed its appearance.
You might also want to visit the chapel of Santa Marina where there are still some remains of the Palencia rural Romanesque style.
