Quintanatello de Ojeda
This is one of the eight districts that make up the municipality of Olmos de Ojeda in the region of Boedo-Ojeda, Palencia.
The Burejo River and one of its tributaries, the Regatillo stream, provide water to the area.
There are still adobe houses along its streets, but the most noteworthy site is the 13th century parish church of the Assumption, a Historical and Artistic Monument, which still has its original Romanesque chevet, belfry with three spans, and part of the facade. It has a single nave and semicircular apse, as well as two adjoining chapels, sacristy and portico.
There was also the St. Stephen's Chapel in the village, which is no longer standing. Its Mozarabic tower arch and a Mozarabic capital, with three foliage crowns, are preserved in the Diocesan Museum of Palencia. Its doorway, originally with four archivolts, is also preserved in the cloister of the Cathedral of Palencia. In the "Las Negras" settlement, which is part of the town, the remains of a Roman villa dated between the 3rd and 5th centuries A.D. were found.
The main crops grown are grain and potatoes.
Its patron saint festivities are celebrated on August 15 and 16 in honour of Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Roque.
