Ricabo
Ricabo is a village in the Council of Quirós. It is the third most populous village in the council, located at an altitude of 670 metres at the foot of the Ubiña Massif, which lends its name to the Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Natural Park.
Several examples of traditional architecture are preserved, such as various bread ovens, a washhouse and the remains of a mill in the vicinity of the River Ricabo.
Standing out among them is the Church of San Bartolomé (or San Bartuelu), with rendered walls, a stone bell tower and a gabled roof with Arabic-style tiles. Next to the church is the El Mansu recreational area, equipped with all the necessary amenities to enjoy the surroundings (playground, tables, fountain...). Finally, within the recreational area there is a competition-standard bowling pitch for traditional Asturian bowling, holding great recreational and ethnographic value.
In the district of El Pradal, part of Ricabo, the section of the Senda del Oso Nature Trail running from Santa Marina to Ricabo ends, a point where it converges with other itineraries of stunning beauty.
