A village in the Council of Quirós, located mid-slope in the River Ricabo valley. The houses are arranged along the contour lines, giving the village an elongated shape. In its square stands the Soberana Chapel, alongside a recently restored fountain, washhouse and livestock trough.
From the square, one can view the entire valley, with spectacular panoramas of the Ubiña Massif, which lends its name to the Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Natural Park.
