Recuerda
The municipality of Recuerda is in the province of Soria, to the southwest of the capital.
The area covered by this district includes Galapagares, Mosarejos, Nograles and La Perera.
The economy of this population is primarily based on agriculture, with a focus on the cultivation of vines and livestock, including sheep and beehives.
The church, dedicated to the patron saint of the village, San Bernabé, was constructed in the 16th century and is a prominent feature of the hamlet. The church features a Gothic chancel and a Baroque body, while the main altarpiece is Renaissance and dates from the 17th century.
The hydrogeography of the region is of particular importance, as several rivers flow through the area, notably the Arenaza river and the Perera stream, which generally end up flowing into the Duero River, to the north of the town.
The Riberas del Río Duero and its tributaries, a Site of Community Interest (SCI) included in the Natura 2000 Network, are situated within the municipality.
The Ciudad de la Alegría, a town of approximately 200 wine cellars, is located on the way to Morales.
The area boasts a diverse gastronomic offering, with the "sopa de matanza" and "migas" (fried breadcrumbs) particularly noteworthy.
The annual patron saint festivities of Recuerda are held on the second Sunday in August. A pilgrimage is held at the chapel of the Virgen de las Angustias on 22 April.
