Souto da Vila Stream
The Souto da Vila Stream is a river course that rises on the last slope of Monte Xiabre and shares its name with the first settlement in the parish of Abalo that it crosses. Along its course, it also crosses Cores before flowing into the point where the River Ulla loses its name and becomes the Ría de Arousa.
Along the way, several well-preserved watermills can be found hidden among the vegetation, blending harmoniously into the landscape. Although the high-speed railway tracks cross the riverbed, the surrounding vegetation has managed to recover, restoring the natural balance of the area.
