Visitors' Centre Caldera de Taburiente
Strategically located in the vicinity of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, in the charming municipality of El Paso, the Visitor Centre is the privileged entrance to the exceptional natural wealth of La Palma. More than just an information centre, this facility is meticulously designed to immerse visitors in an educational and eye-opening experience of this exceptional environment. The facilities include:
Exhibition Hall: It presents fascinating details about this protected area, its geology, hydrology, animal and plant life, as well as the human environment and visits to the park.
Screening room: With a capacity for 70 people, it hosts a variety of audiovisual displays in three languages (Spanish, German and English) at fixed times or on request for large groups.
Library and Bookshop: A space dedicated to knowledge, where visitors can explore the natural history of the Canary Islands and the Caldera de Taburiente.
Practical Information: It provides maps, advice and up-to-date information, as well as issuing camping permits for La Cumbrecita. Botanic Garden: An outdoor oasis featuring the region's endemic plants, offering an educational and sensory experience. Area of Public Use: It also houses a visitor information room, toilets, etc. This is recommended to hikers as a meeting point for last minute information on slopes, trails and weather conditions.
