Antequera, which is situated at the main crossroads of Andalusia, is an ideal point from which to begin exploring this region. The hotel is so pleasant and welcoming that you’ll find it hard to leave it, to let go of the soft radiance of its rooms, and the fresh and elegant colours of its minimalist decoration; but a stroll through Antequera is definitely worth the effort. It’s worth visiting the city’s Bronze Age monuments such as the Dolmen of the cave of Menga, the Dolmen of Viera and the Dolmen of El Romeral. The basilica of Santa María and the Alcazaba de Antequera, a castle that has stood over and guarded the town since Roman times, also await your visit.
