En Porter Bay
This beautiful bay surrounded by cliffs is located at the mouth of the ravine bearing the same name (the second longest ravine on the island), between the capes of Morro Esclafat and Ponent.
Two very different landscapes surround a shell-shaped beach of fine sand at the end of the bay. To the west, the cliffs are crowned with vegetation, while those on the eastern flank are covered with buildings. These buildings form part of the important tourist centre that has been growing around this bay, also known as En Porter Bay, and which belongs to the municipality of Alaior/Alayor (the coastal town is just over 11 kilometres from the urban centre of Alaior/Alayor).
At the back of the bay there is a small wetland that forms the mouth of the En Porter Bay torrent, channelled at the end.
The beach offers all kinds of services, parking facilities nearby and has been awarded the 14001 Environmental Certification.
Interestingly, one of the most popular nightclubs on the island during the holiday season is located on the cliff where the residential area is located, characterised by its location in a natural cave with terraces offering impressive ocean views.
