Arenal de Son Saura (Arenal de Son Saura Beachj)
Arenal de Son Saura is located on the north coast of Menorca between Cap Gros and Na Tortuga. Also known as Platja de Son Parc (Son Parc Beach) or Arenal de S'Olla de Son Saura (Arenal de S'Olla de Son Saura Beach), it belongs to the municipality of Es Mercadal.
It is a medium-sized sandy beach with clear waters, which forms part of a 4-hectare dune system with pine trees, junipers and scrubland. The coastal marsh "Prat de Son Saura", a wetland area covering 40 hectares with well-preserved vegetation, and the wooded area of S'Albufera des Comte, of high nature value due to the variety of plant species it is home to, are also nearby.
It is a very popular beach during the summer months due to the large number of services it offers, including restaurants, hotels and sun loungers. It also has shallow water, which makes it the perfect beach for children to enjoy.
Although the bay where it is located is not suitable for anchoring boats, it is close to two of the largest harbours on the island, Fornells and Addaia. Golf lovers can visit Son Parc, home to the only golf course on the island.
