La Blanca shrine
La Blanca Shrine is an important temple just three kilometres from the village of Cabrejas del Pinar in the province of Soria. The construction of this chapel was paid for by three families from this municipality who invested their earnings after emigrating to Mexico.
The building dates back to the late 18th century and features a Latin cross floor plan, as well as a tower with two sections and six openings above the doorway. The nave is covered by a lunette vault ceiling and the transept features a dome. Inside the church, the main altarpiece stands out for its large dimensions and marble finish.
Every July sees the Romería de la Virgen pilgrimage, and the shrine is inundated with pilgrims from the neighbouring villages known as the pueblos de la Concordia: Talveila, Cubilla, Abejar, Muriel Viejo, Cantalucia, Cubillos, Herrera and Muriel de la Fuente.
