Altotero de Modúbar
Hill at 1,015 metres in altitude, surrounded by a small oak (Quercus faginea) grove in high density scrubland. The lower areas and the plains are cultivated with dry cereal crops.
At its summit is the triangulation station 23856, built in 1987 and made up of a cylindrical prism at the base, a small quadrangular prism and the typical cylindrical prism at the top of the vertex, which is the one that provides the measurement data.
The Altotero de Modúbar offers a panoramic view for kilometres around, mainly to the west, from where the different urban centres, several wind farms, farmland, small oak groves and the old route of the Santander-Mediterranean railway, now our greenway nature trail, can be seen.
