Geology
Valley of Las Navas
This territory is located between the comarca of Bureba and the Páramo de la Mesa moorland and its origin dates back to the Miocene.
It is characterised by the fact that it is a semi-arid area that has suffered significant erosive processes, forming gullies and ravines in which the soil appears bare and allows the striking horizons of the substratum to be seen. The colours of the landscape here can range from intense reds to yellowish and whitish tones, offering an attractive chromatic variety to the visitor's eyes, as it is also dotted with green patches of juniper and oak.
Although it has a countryside structure, water erosion has over time sculpted a landscape with small hills and ravines carved out by streams and rivers that run through this easily eroded terrain.
