Canal de La Rasa
The Canal de La Rasa, also known as the Canal de San Antonio, is situated in the vicinity of the town that gives it its name and is part of the municipality of El Burgo de Osma in the province of Soria.
The riverbed commences its route in the town of La Olmeda, where it collects the waters of the Ucero River as it passes through the town, as well as the waters of the Sequillo River, which shortly before flows into the Ucero.
The route runs in parallel with the river for several kilometres before turning off in the direction of La Rasa. The river then crosses this locality, where it divides into several canals that connect with the River Duero, a short distance from the Canal de Inés dam.
The construction of this canal was designed to facilitate the transfer of water from the Ucero and Duero rivers to irrigate a substantial apple plantation situated on the outskirts of La Rasa.
