Embalse del Campillo de Buitrago
The Campillo de Buitrago dam was constructed in 1969. The gravity dam has a height of 13 metres, a crest height of 1,027 metres and a surface area of 15 hectares.
The facility is situated between the towns of Soria and Garray. Its construction led to the creation of the Campillo de Buitrago reservoir, which is part of the drainage basin of the Duero River and has a total capacity of 2hm3.
The dammed water is primarily used to supply nearby villages and to irrigate nearby fields.
