Dehesa Charra (Charra pasture)
The Charra pasture, also known as Campo Charro, is one of the most characteristic landscapes of the province of Salamanca, where holly oaks and wild cattle predominate.
It is an artificial ecosystem that consists of forests of holly oaks, cork oaks, gall oaks and Spanish oaks that produce acorns for Iberico pigs, and pastures for sheep, cows and wild cattle. In this area, there are plenty of streams and ponds, as well as abundant shrubs and bushes including rockrose, rosemary, thyme and lavender.
