The 16th century Franciscan convent of Santa Clara is today the Parador de Trujillo. The extraordinary building is built around a central cloister with Renaissance columns and arches, which connected at one end with an old church with a vaulted ceiling where the dining room has been installed. At the other end is the access to the second courtyard in the complex, which is modern in style. The Parador de Trujillo is an ideal destination for rest and leisure, with cosy spaces inside and a swimming pool outside. The Parador de Trujillo is located in the historic centre of Trujillo. A few metres away is the Playa Mayor, the nerve centre of the city centre, which is surrounded by historic buildings of great beauty.
