Llesp reservoir
Linked to the reservoir is the Llesp hydroelectric power station, which began operating two years later, in 1955. The plant has two turbines that harness a 142-metre head to generate electricity.
The beauty of the reservoir’s surroundings can be enjoyed from the viewing point next to the dam; from there, you can see the Salencar de Llesp, a wetland that forms part of the Natura 2000 network and serves as a stopover for migratory birds, and the mountains of the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.
The reservoir is also home to a large population of trout, making it a popular fishing spot.
