Masía del Fraile farmhouse
The Masía del Fraile farmhouse is located a short distance to the southeast of the A-23, known as the Mudéjar motorway, near a ravine. In this part of the province of Teruel, this type of building is known to be located on the outskirts of a village, in many cases handed down through generations of the same family and used for work related to agriculture or livestock farming, such as farmhouses. In this case, the group of buildings is made up of several attached central constructions and a small independent building at the rear, a short distance away. It also has a small corral that forms a square at the exit of the buildings.
The farmhouse’s architecture is typical in this area. The red-tile roofs and stone walls with local stone are very well integrated into the landscape in terms of the colour and texture of the materials. Although still standing, these abandoned buildings are in very poor condition.
The complex can be reached via a dirt track from the N-234 road, largely surrounded by fields of crops and a small, wooded area beyond.
