Frentes peak
This mountainous elevation, which reaches an altitude of 1,375 m, is located in the vicinity of Fuentetoba in the municipality of Golmayo, province of Soria, just eight kilometres from the provincial capital.
The Golmayo River rises among its steep peaks and flows through this area. At its source in this enclave, it gives rise to an impressive waterfall more than 20 m in height, known as La Toba. The infiltration of water from rainfall into the rock formations of the Frentes peak causes the water to flow at this point forming an abundant and attractive waterfall that flows freely into this steep environment. This impressive landscape has become one of the main natural attractions of the area.
Also, sheltered by this peak is Mount Valonsadero, a natural space of more than 3,000 hectares that is located next to the city of Soria and has become a popular leisure spot for the residents of the city of Soria.
