The Regatos lookout point offers a panoramic view of the granite peaks of the Duero gorge, which serves as a natural border between Spain and Portugal. The landscape is characterised by the precipitous ravines of the Duero gorges and the scattered vegetation of olive trees, holm oaks, broom and broom. The combination of greys and greens creates a visually appealing image of this portion of the Arribes del Duero Natural Park.
In addition to the main plant species, other conservation species of importance such as Isatis platyloba and Scrophularia valdesii can be found. This entire region is of significant conservation value for the Bonelli's eagle and provides an ideal setting for observing soaring birds such as vultures. The small streams that run along the slopes of this area are responsible for the name of this lookout point. The Titinas and Trigal streams are located nearby. Both watercourses converge at the bend in the meander.
