Virgen del Rosario chapel (Caserío Torreduero)
The Virgen del Rosario chapel is situated on a 100-hectare estate on the banks of the Duero River, near the Riberas de Castronuño Nature Reserve.
The historical record indicates that the temple was constructed in the 12th century, at which time the first monks settled in this area. From that point onwards, the enclave was under the ownership of the clergy for a considerable period. The original construction, which was of a primitive nature, has survived in the form of a beautiful brick apse, which is still in use today. Attached to this is a former convent.
From the 1960s to the present day, the estate on which the temple is located has become renowned worldwide for its dedication to the breeding and training of racehorses.
Furthermore, the Finca Chapel of Torreduero has established itself as a premier venue for a diverse range of events, including professional conferences, product presentations, gala dinners, and even weddings.
